Fall in love with fall all over again by heading out to some events and festivals around Southern Louisiana! Fall is a great season to spend time outdoors with your loved ones. The cool crisp air, and chilled nights bring a magical feel of joy and comfort into your heart. We have gathered a few things to do around Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas.

Head out and take the family to Perkins Rowe for live music and fun! This is a free event full of live music, fun and dancing, which kicks off at 6pm! Rock n Rowe has been going on every Thursday since September, so here is your chance to experience them ending their fall season with a bang!

On another note, if you aren’t able to make it to a live music showcase during the week, try Live After Five! The Repentance Park will be ending their fall run this Friday, October 27. Of course, as always, the concerts are free at Live After Five! Head into the weekend with great tunes playing over and over in your head.

These are just a few fall events to do around our city. There are tons of fall festivities that are going on, and we recommend you and your family get out there and make memories this fall season.  Live music is always the best therapy, to transport you into a wonderful state of mind.

Fall Family Events in Baton Rouge

Fall is in full swing and that means cooler weather and more time outside! We know how stir crazy the kiddos can get after being at school all day! They just want to go ride their bikes and play basketball outside, but then they get tired of doing the same old thing. That’s when it’s time to load up the family and go do some fun activities and festivals! We have complied a list of some of our favorite Fall Family Events to do in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas! These activities are all kid friendly, inexpensive (some even being free!), and fun activities that are sure to bring the family together this fall season!     

Live After Five

This event is in its 18th season! Live After Five is a great event to bring the family to after a long week of work and school. Just bring a blanket, a few chairs and your favorite dancing shoes! This event is free so it is perfect for those families on a budget or college students needing to take a break from the books! Live After Five is every Friday starting September 9th going through October 28 from 5-8PM. For fall 2016, Live After Five will be held in Repentance Park, behind the Old State Capitol, off of River Road.

Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin Patch

This pumpkin patch is located in the Hammond area, we wanted to make sure to include it in our list because of how wonderful this pumpkin patch is! Not only will your child be able to pick out their very own pumpkin, but there are tons of activities for the kiddos to enjoy! Zip lining, jumping pillow, tunnel slide, face painting, hay maze and milk a cow are just a few of the many fun activities Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin Patch has to offer! Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin Patch is open Monday-Friday 9-5 PM and Saturday-Sunday 10-5 PM! Admission is $7 per child and adults are free!

Corn Maze Saturdays at Burden

The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens puts on its annual Corn Maze festivities! The whole family is sure to enjoy this event during Louisiana’s most beautiful months! Enjoy tons of activities such as the petting zoo, enjoy a hayride, try the giant sling shots, climb the straw mountain and more!

The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens also has an event called Night Maze and Bonfire on Saturday, October 29 starting at 10 AM and ending at 9 PM. Enjoy bonfires, s’mores, music and more! Dress the kiddos up in their costumes and have a night to remember!
