The 2017 Holiday Schedule is as follows for all dealerships:

  • Monday, December 25th Christmas Day, all of our dealerships will be CLOSED!
  • Tuesday, December 26th, we will resume to normal business hours!
  • Monday, January 1st New Year’s Day, all of our dealerships will be CLOSED!
  • Tuesday, January 2nd 2018, we will resume to normal business hours!

We ask you spread the holiday cheer this season, and spend this magical time of year with your loved ones! The Holiday season has arrived once again! The entire All Star Automotive team would like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! As tradition has it, Christmas is a joyous time spent with family and friends. We all show our appreciation for one another and soak in all of life’s greatest gifts. This is a time when the little things mean the most. Our customers at All Star Automotive mean the most to us! We are so very thankful for you! You are what keeps our business running day-to-day and our appreciation for you is ever lasting! We want to thank you for another great year!

The Holiday schedule for All Star Automotive is as follows:

  • The dealerships will be open for a half day on Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24th. Be sure to get a good night’s sleep for Santa to stop by!
  • Sunday, December 25th the dealerships will be CLOSED for everyone to enjoy Christmas Day with friends and family and lots of love and laughter! As the New Year approaches, we will be back to regular store hours proceeding Christmas and we hope to see you again on December 26th!
  • On New Year’s Eve, Saturday December 31st it will be a day of celebration to bring in the New Year and we want to celebrate it with you! The dealerships will be OPEN with normal business hours!
  • The New Year is finally here and on January 1st, the Dealerships will be closed New Year’s Day. The 1st of the year is a fresh start and we can’t wait to see what 2017 has to offer!

Fall Family Events in Baton Rouge

Fall is in full swing and that means cooler weather and more time outside! We know how stir crazy the kiddos can get after being at school all day! They just want to go ride their bikes and play basketball outside, but then they get tired of doing the same old thing. That’s when it’s time to load up the family and go do some fun activities and festivals! We have complied a list of some of our favorite Fall Family Events to do in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas! These activities are all kid friendly, inexpensive (some even being free!), and fun activities that are sure to bring the family together this fall season!     

Live After Five

This event is in its 18th season! Live After Five is a great event to bring the family to after a long week of work and school. Just bring a blanket, a few chairs and your favorite dancing shoes! This event is free so it is perfect for those families on a budget or college students needing to take a break from the books! Live After Five is every Friday starting September 9th going through October 28 from 5-8PM. For fall 2016, Live After Five will be held in Repentance Park, behind the Old State Capitol, off of River Road.

Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin Patch

This pumpkin patch is located in the Hammond area, we wanted to make sure to include it in our list because of how wonderful this pumpkin patch is! Not only will your child be able to pick out their very own pumpkin, but there are tons of activities for the kiddos to enjoy! Zip lining, jumping pillow, tunnel slide, face painting, hay maze and milk a cow are just a few of the many fun activities Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin Patch has to offer! Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin Patch is open Monday-Friday 9-5 PM and Saturday-Sunday 10-5 PM! Admission is $7 per child and adults are free!

Corn Maze Saturdays at Burden

The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens puts on its annual Corn Maze festivities! The whole family is sure to enjoy this event during Louisiana’s most beautiful months! Enjoy tons of activities such as the petting zoo, enjoy a hayride, try the giant sling shots, climb the straw mountain and more!

The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens also has an event called Night Maze and Bonfire on Saturday, October 29 starting at 10 AM and ending at 9 PM. Enjoy bonfires, s’mores, music and more! Dress the kiddos up in their costumes and have a night to remember!

As you can tell, we love fall! There are tons of fun, inexpensive and engaging activities to do in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas! Cornhole is a fun, exciting and easy way to get your guests involved in the get-together and having a friendly competition! To make it even more interesting, ask the kids to join in too! Happy Fourth of July to all of our amazing All Star Family! Here at All Star Automotive we love this country, and are proud to be a part of it! So as a part of this celebration, our sales department will be open! If you are in the market for a new car at a good price, be sure to come in to any of our 11 locations and celebrate with us!

The Fourth of July is a blast with all your family and friends. The company and food is great but what’s the best part of the fourth? Fireworks, of course! With Fireworks comes safety hazards, so we want you to be safe this holiday weekend. Here is a list of safety precautions you should take when handling fireworks.

  • They Are Not Toys: Kids are often very curious and enjoy awesome colorful things. Be sure to place the Fireworks away in a secure place from the little ones. If they use Sparklers, be sure to watch them! Sparklers can reach over 1,800 degrees F!
  • Just In Case: Have a bucket of water, hose, or fire extinguisher nearby! You never know what could happen!
  • Think About Your Pet: Animals have sensitive ears and the Fourth of July can be very stressful for them. Keep them indoors to reduce the risk of them running away or getting injured.
  • One at A Time: Lighting multiple fireworks at one time is very pretty but very dangerous! Light one at time. Don’t use glass or metal containers and never relight a dud firework.
  • Stay Clear of Others: Fireworks have been known to backfire or shoot off in the wrong direction. Make sure people are far away from you and that firework is pointed in the right direction before you light it.
